The Cotat family has been tending their vines in Sancerre since the end of World War II. After splitting the Domaine in the 1990s, the Chavignol-based Domaine is now led by François Cotat, who is producing some of the most highly regarded Sauvignon Blanc in the world.
Dedicated to François' father, Cuvée Paul is made from the richest, most concentrated barrel of La Grand Côte which was singled out for its superb ageing potential. Made from very ripe Sauvignon Blanc grapes, there is an exceptional power to this wine which is accompanied by a gentle sweetness that pairs so beautifully with the wine's exotic bouquet of tropical fruit and spice.
Exceedingly rare, this will easily last 50 years with careful cellaring.
