Martin “Monty” Burns discovered his love for wine early, as he worked vines in the Pyrenees as a teenager after his parents bought an old sheep station and converted it into a vineyard. Seeing what that block on land could produce inspired a passion for environmental science and led to a decade working in The Pilbara, Kakadu and Perth.

Then, he could no longer ignore the pull of Victoria's wine regions. Each Mont wine is a pure expression of its origin. Monty sources small parcels of fruit from the regions and vineyards that grow his favourite varieties. Mont wines are made using classic winemaking techniques but consciously try to avoid overworking the fruit.
