Whisky production continues to spill south over the Scottish border, and for good reason: English whisky is earning an enviable reputation across the globe. The London-based Bimber Distillery is one such producer that comes to mind when talking about quality English malts. Their Ex-Bourbon Cask is made with barley sourced from a single English farm, which is distilled in direct-fire copper stills and matured exclusively in ex-Bourbon casks. This is an extremely accessible and moreish malt, with sweet caramel and vanilla notes alongside brown spice and hint of herbal mint.
