A very approachable wine now but will hold strong with a few years in the cellar.
Even more intensity and concentration then the 2018 vintage. A ripe perfume of dark fruit, olive tapenade, cracked pepper and licorce. An energetic palate with an alluring sweet red core, candied violet, baking spice and minerality. The finish is long and precise with a build of mouth-watering tannin.

Who is Andre Perret?
Widely known as the King of Condrieu, Andre Perret has some of the best vines planted in some of the best terroir of Condrieu and St. Joseph in the Northern Rhone. He graduated in Biology but the passion for the vines lead him back to the village of Verlieu-Chavanay where he grew up.
In 1982 he took over the land from his father, that was largely taken up with fruit trees. André planted it with vines and through acquisitions extended it to its present 13 hectares of steep hillside land. The steep hillside makes it impossible for machinery, so all vines are tended to by hand. These are incredibly special wines to drink and equally good to cellar.
