Situated on the north face of Mt Etna, Giuseppe Russo takes pride in his century old vineyard with meticulous organic viticulture.
As Mt Etna is still an active volcano the wines produced show exceptional minerality from the truly unique topography of the soils in which the vines are planted.
Sitting somewhere between 700-800m above sea level is 12 hectares of 100-year-old bush wines. The San Lorenzo is an aromatically charged wine, with dark cherry, red plums and sweet spice. The palate is powerful but has elegance and grace to it, notes of red cherry and minerals finishing with a firm structured tannins.
