Situated on the north face of Mt Etna, Giuseppe Russo takes pride in his century old vineyard with meticulous organic viticulture.
As Mt Etna is still an active volcano the wines produced show exceptional minerality from the truly unique topography of the soils in which the vines are planted.
This wine comes from some of the oldest and the poorest soils on Mt Etna, it's recognised as one of the rarest and rockiest of all his releases. Very pretty aromatics of roasted baking spice and liquorice, leading into a palate that is fuller bodied and textural with notes of dark berries, bitter orange, a saline edge and some fine tannins.
