Situated on the north face of Mt Etna, Giuseppe Russo takes pride in his century old vineyard with meticulous organic viticulture.
As Mt Etna is still an active volcano the wines produced show exceptional minerality from the truly unique topography of the soils in which the vines are planted.
The Feudo di Mezzo is home to 100+ year old bush vines that covers less than 1 hectare, known to some as one of the Grand Crus on Mt Etna. The wine itself is dark and brooding with savoury dried herbs and a balsamic like concentration. A powerful wine, with a silky texture and lovely intensity.
