Using only organically and biodynamically farmed fruit from high-quality vineyards across Margaret River and the Swan Valley, Josephine Perry is bringing her flair to the region and delicious wine to your glass.

Lovely whole berry sweetness that's perfectly in balance with its freshness, light herbal notes and silk, fine grain tannins from 90 days on skins.

About Dormilona Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

What Am I?

Red Wine, Cabernet Sauvignon

Where Am I From?

Australia, Western Australia, Margaret River

Who is Dormilona?

Jospehine Perry took the leap from wine consultant to winemaker after studying winemaking remotely with Charles Sturt university, so she could fit in more on-site experience. She developed her craft in Rhône, Burgundy, Bordeaux, Spain, New Zealand, and California. She was mentored by Philip Shaw in Orange and managed winemaking operations at two wineries in Galicia while also consulting in the Canary Islands before returning to Western Australia to get started on Dormilona.

Josephine’s winemaking approach is to pick earlier, take a hands-off lo-fi approach to create unusually vibrant, textured and energetic expressions on familiar wine varieties. Despite a minimal intervention approach, her wines are detailed, poised and somewhat more refined that what we usually expect from natural wines.
