Aged in French barriques and comes with a nose of smokey spice, charcuterie and some woodland notes. The Ghost guys have really hit their straps with this one, it’s all blood plum and blackberries eaten on the farm, fresh from the pickers’ hands. There’s also some elevating black pepper spice and tannins that develop on the palate.

Bindi's Pyrette Shiraz is a satellite venture in the winery's lineup, made using fruit coming from a vineyard near Colbinabbin on the Mt Camel Range in Heathcote. It's a pure, expressive Heathcote Shiraz, unadorned by excessive oak and picked earlier for freshness.

De-stemmed fruit sees time in old oak, with a portion aged in concrete, for a wine with plenty of fruitfulness in the glass. Expect bright, fresh plums and blackberry, with a vanilla edge. Just delicious!

Croquet by Hennings Shiraz 2021

The wine is Barrel fermented in new, two and three year old French oak barrels. The medium bodied palate is balance and the fresh plum and blackberry fruit flavours are interlaced with a fine tannin structure.

Asher Shiraz 2019

This carefully handcrafted wine boasts purity in spades and is overflowing with character and charm. Fruit for this wine came from a unique vineyard overlooking the Goulburn River, sitting on rich alluvial soils in an area that’s home to many retired volcanoes—Dane has told us more than once that the quality of fruit from this spot is incredible! The Syrah is a blend of two separate ferments, which both underwent semi-carbonic maceration with 10 days on skins. In the glass, expect bright and lifted fruit flavours, with intermingling notes of bramble berries, boysenberry, and raspberry coulis. There’s a fresh acidity and energy to the wine that make it perfect for summertime drinking. It’s fantastic as is, but if we were you, we’d chuck this one on ice before drinking.

Excellent Heathcote Shiraz, as we've come to expect from the folks at Hennings. Rich and full-bodied, with ripe spiced plum, vanillin oak, notes of dark chocolate, and a mulled wine character.

Fruit for the wine was sourced from Tooborac, at the southern end of Heathcote, and is brimming with boysenberry and vanilla poached plums. With time, blackberry and liquorice notes build in the glass before some pepper spice joins the party. Full, rich, and oh-so satisfying.

The Laughton family produce one of our favourite Shiraz’s year in and year out, just a hop, skip and a jump away in Heathcote; with daughter Emily now at the helm continuing the family legacy. Fruit for this was harvested early, to retain freshness, with delicate aromas on the nose before bright notes of rhubarb and red plums in the glass. Drinking deliciously now, so there’s no need to wait to open this bottle!

Occam's Razor Shiraz 2022

A supremely good glass of wine with layers upon layers of pepper intermingling with savoury black olive, plum, black cherry and some nice charred tannin. Made with a blend of Beechworth and Yarra Valley fruit and quite juicy, drink it paired with steak and a fireplace.

Jamsheed Apricity Syrah 2021

This is some dinki-di Heathcote Shiraz right here. Ripe blackberry and plum, with some white pepper spice and fine-grained tannins. Phenomenal value!

Strata Shiraz 2020

Rhubarb, ripe plum, and warming baking spice with soft tannins and a hint of savoury salted earth. Stays delightfully true to the variety.

Heathcote Hill Shiraz 2019

One of our favourite Shirazes from Heathcote, year in and year out. Nicely balanced with intense aromatics, fresh red fruits, and a savoury touch.

Occam's Razor Shiraz 2021

Fruit was sourced from Tooborac, at the southern end of Heathcote, and is brimming with lovely plum, spice and herb aromatics. On the palate, it's laden with plush red fruits, lots of spice and granitic minerality, with nice tension to the acidity.

Osicka Selection Tooborac Shiraz 2021

Rich, luscious and overflowing with captivating plum, dark berries, touches of vanilla and ripe cherry, with hints of chocolate playing on the palate. Simon's knocked it out of the park with this wine, it's decadent, delicious and absolutely cracking value too!
