This Must Be The Place is a new series that’s close to our hearts. For this series, we chose to work with varieties that are at home in the place they were grown and produced. Our Mornington Peninsula wines were grown bayside, where the vineyards are warmer and better protected than along the coast. The resulting wines boast generous flavours and more richness. This Chardonnay is beautifully soft and textural. A broad spectrum of fruit flavour reflects the site, with white stone fruit, nashi pear, fennel fronds, and subtle oak spice present. We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the lands on which we live and work and pay our respects to their Elders past and present. Grown and made on the traditional lands of the Boon Wurrung / Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation.

This Must Be The Place Mornington Peninsula Chardonnay 2019

This is a real live wire! Zippy citrus fruit at every turn, with the cut and thrust of lemon zest and lime leaf. There’s some rounded orchard fruit in the mix too, with green apple skin adding a little grip. Great length and line.

Medhurst Estate Rosé 2021

A delightful blend of Barbera and Nebbiolo, which is fruit-forward enough to qualify as couch wine yet with enough structure and savouriness to be food-friendly. Pouring a dark terracotta colour, with a palate of ripe cherry, aniseed, and dried herbs courtesy of the Barbera. The Nebbiolo component kicks into gear soon after, providing a little smokiness and lick of tannin.
