The Rosso Alpi Retiche is named after Switzerland's Rhaetian Alps, which are a stone's throw away from these vineyards.
It's made from 100% Chiavennasca, which was matured in a mix of stainless steel and oak barriques. It's perfumed and delicate, with a core of bright redcurrant and cherry on a backdrop of alpine herbs, clove, and a little cracked pepper. The tannins are fine but persistent, making this wine an absolute delight when paired with charcuterie and washed rind cheeses.

Who is Barbacàn?
The wines of Barbacàn are made in the pristine alpine valleys of Valtellina, in northern Italy's Lombardy region.
