Some cracking local Chardy here.

An elegant and beautifully crafted Chardonnay from winemaker and restauranteur, Jayden Ong. A little smoky flint reduction on the nose carries through to a prominent mineral line. There's a mealy, talcy texture to the palate, with white nectarine, citrus peel and lemon verbena notes nestled alongside some well-placed oak influence.

Who is Jayden Ong?

Jayden Ong is a small scale, family owned winery making wine for One Block, La Maison de Ong, Moonlit Forest and Jayden Ong. Located on Mount Toolebewong, the highest altitude vineyard in the Yarra Valley, their organic farming practises nurture the health of the vines, the soil and the surrounding forest.

Believing fruit are honest communicators of where they grew, they take each vintage individually, honouring the challenges, stories and expression in each bottle.

One Block is made from single block, single vineyard fruit and aims to capture a specific time and place. La Maison de Ong is all about premium Yarra Valley reds – a counterpoint to One Block’s minimalism. Moonlit Forest is a bespoke range of unfiltered wines made for good times in good places.
