Who is Cognac Bourgoin?
Cognac Bourgoin is a family estate located in the village of Saint Saturnin, in Charente run by Frederic Bourgoin. It has existed since 1933, when Leon Marcel Bourgoin (grandfather to Frederic) travelled to the area for vintage and fell in love with his boss’s daughter.
After selling grapes to larger Cognac brands for years, the family chose to create their own house style. Bourgoin’s fruit is grown organically, harvested, vinified with indigenous yeasts, distilled and bottled by hand, all on site.
Production is done entirely without the use of sulphur, colouring or added sugar at any stage. Furthermore, these Cognacs are produced without blending or filtration.
