If you're new to Barbacàn’s wines, this is a great place to start!
Nebbiolo leads the charge in this blend which uses grapes from the Sega family's vineyards in Valtellina, a valley in Italy's Lombardy region bordering Switzerland. Vineyards in this region practically hug the Alps, making for very chilly nighttime temperatures, yet toasty daytime temperatures paired with Lake Como's unique, warm winds make for interesting growing conditions indeed! The resulting wine gives us cool alpine characters and qualities that are distinct to Nebbiolo grown in this region.
