Aglianico from Paxton's vineyard was whole bunch fermented and open fermented, before an early pressing to old oak. Lovely and lighter in style, elegant florals lead to a balanced palate, poised between cherry cola, saline acidity and a silky yet textural feel.

Who is Somos?
Based in McLaren Vale, a passion project turned full scale, Somos is the label of Ben Caldwell and Mauricio Ruiz Cantú. The duo work primarily with less-known Italian and Spanish varieties, and they make them in entirely unconventional ways, with a lo-fi and sustainable ethos.
Somos, translating to “we are” in Spanish lends to the pairs goal of making wines people love to drink, youthful, juicy, vibrant and textural.
