Benje Blanco comes from multiple old bush vine Listán Blanco parcels, which sit at an altitude of over 1000 metres around the town of Santiago del Teide in Tenerife.

A second consecutive warmer vintage on the island led to the fruit being picked earlier again this in 2020. There's a less pronounced oxidative element to the 2020 Benje Blanco, as well as the use of larger format oak barrels which makes the wine more expressive of the volcanic soils it's grown in. High-toned aromatics of sea spray and wood smoke are wrapped around a core of orchard fruit. Textured with a savoury edge and crisp finish.

Who is Envínate?

Having only purchased their first vineyard in 2008, the team behind Envínate have quickly established themselves as forerunners in Spain's viticultural renaissance. Literally translating to 'wine yourself', this team of four young winemakers met in a viticultural school in 2005 and formed a wine collective on the shared passion for exploring Spain's rich and diverse wine history.

Together, they have thrown countless little-known Spanish varieties into the viticultural spotlight and enthralled wine lovers the world over with their unique cuvées. If you have a thirst for wines that are drenched in origin and history, then this is your stop.
