Chuck it in the esky and drink it cold on a summers day for a wine that, in Al and Sam's own words, is bloody refreshing!

You might be asking yourself: 'What does this wine have to do with a tv show featuring a Super Robot piloted by five space explorers?' The answer is... not much. However, the team at Konpira Maru's creativity knows no limits so we're rolling with it because it always pays off.

This year's Voltron is made from a blend of five different explorers (sorry...grape varieties): Dolcetto, Sangiovese, Barbera, Pinot Gris and Shiraz. The result is an easy-drinking red/white blend packed with loads of berry fruit, hints of herbs and a sappy sweetness.

Who is Konpira Maru

Konpira Maru started as many great ideas do, with two mates having a beer at the pub. Duo, Sam and Al shared similar wine and beer drinking values and set out to produce their first vintage in 2014, which resulted in just 600 bottles.

A mission to make interesting, minimal intervention and maximum care wines with character and affordability the pair have achieved just that!

In 2016 the pair took on their own vineyard just out of King Valley, where they farm Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Gris organically on red soil and surrounded by the ever so beautiful sub-alpine Eucalypt forest.
