Ever heard of the Beaujolais ‘Gang of Four’? In the 90s, legendary American wine importer, Kermit Lynch, saw how Marcel Lapierre, Jean Foillard, Jean-Paul Thévenet, and Guy Breton were on a mission to strip winemaking back to a more natural process so the terroir and fruit could truly express the region they love. Lynch dubbed them the ‘Gang of Four’ and they have been the flag bearers of cru Beaujolais ever since.

When Guy Breton took over his Grandfather's domaine in 1986, he pledged to turn around the damage the Beaujolais Nouveau did to the region’s reputation by stripping back the winemaking process to once more champion the terroir and fruit that made Beaujolais a world-renowned winemaking region.
