The most fine-boned of Bouland's releases, the Chiroubles Chatenay is drawn from a vineyard perched at 400m above sea leave, between Beaujolais' Morgon and Fleurie. A vibrant, crunchy medium-bodied Gamy wrapped with a heady perfume of sweet plum, florals and spice.

Who is Daniel Bouland?
In many ways, Daniel Bouland is the antithesis of Beaujolais' reputation circa the 1970s and 80s. Known as one of the region's more reclusive producers, Bouland tends to his rustic, predominately old vine vineyards all by himself, with holdings across the Morgon lieux-dits of Corcelette, Bellevue, and Delys.
His wines are bold, complex, and incredibly layered, offering a wonderful reference point for how versatile and brooding Gamay can be.
