Winemaker Sarah Crowe has taken Yarra Yering into a new era, leveraging a foundation of wonderfully nurtured fruit to create aromatic, medium-bodied wines with interest and personality in spades.
A Shiraz-dominant blend with a small portion of Mataro and a dash of Viognier. Hand-picked fruit was carefully sorted and destemmed for this wine, retaining as many whole berries as possible to enhance the perfume, and was matured in French oak barriques for 15 months before bottling. The result is an elegantly perfumed wine with layers of violet, plum, bramble berry and some savoury spice. It's impossible not to love this.
