Alter Weg translates to the "old way" and this cuvée is really where the Smith-Callum family have run wild, embracing some of the more "old world" winemaking techniques.
A more delicate rendition of Frankland Estate's Alter Weg, that, as always, has been wild yeast fermented before spending a further ten months on lees. Citrus, green apple and grapefruit pith at the fore, with a hint of quinine, some talc and a fresh, moreish acidity weaving its way through the glass. There's so much to love with this Riesling, it's a surefire pick for your next dinner party.
