Schlenkerla is a traditional Bavarian brewer of rauchbier (literally translating to 'smokebeer'), a style of beer brewed with malted barley that has been dried over an open flame, imparting a smokiness not too dissimilar from Islay whisky. Schlenkerla's Weizen is made from a mix of smoked barley and unsmoked wheat, resulting in a beer with a more subtle smoke aroma and flavour. Pouring a hazy amber hue, it's a delicious example of wheat beer that's a little out of the box. (500ml) 5.2% ABV
