Really well balanced...

A nice orange and mandarin edge with some vermouth spice and chalky citrus pith. A lovely level of ripeness, fresh acidity – clean and complex and super yum.

Who is Rouleur?

Founder Matt East grew up the son of a grape grower in the Yarra Valley and felt predestined to join the industry. Working vintages at local wineries as a kid, he began tinkering with winemaking using old equipment he found in the shed. He continued his education in the vineyards, studying along the way and landed in wine sales and marketing.

After a trip overseas returned to news his Dad had cancer and before he died, he encouraged Matt to chase his winemaking dreams and encouraged him to make the most of the 30 year old vines they’d planted together. In 2015 Matt launched Rouleur Wine Co. and with the release of the 2015 Yarra Valley, Pinot Noir, fulfilled his promise to his Dad.

Matt sources exceptional parcels of fruit from quality vineyards and growers to make wine he loves to drink. He seeks bright acids, freshness and lift without sacrificing flavour with an aim to capture terroir by keeping winemaking inputs and additions to a minimum.
