Before becoming vignerons themselves, Agnès and René Mosse had owned a small wine bar/retail shop in Tours - one of the gateway cities to the famed Loire Valley. During this time they developed strong relations with local winemakers - most notably Jo Pithon and François Chidaine, who the couple credit as being the inspiration for deciding to produce wine themselves.

Having adhered to organic viticultural principles since the very start of their winemaking endeavour, Agnès and René are strong proponents of minimal intervention winemaking. All their wines are barrel-fermented and aged, using only neutral oak, and minimal sulphur is used. Whilst René is now retired (Agnès still works), the couple's sons, Sylvestre and Joseph, have since taken the reins of the family estate.
