Founded in 2012 by second-generation winemaker Dan Graham, Sigurd has been redefining quality Barossa Valley wine ever since. Having done vintages in Central Otago, Canada, Portugal, Hermitage in France’s Rhône Valley, and Barolo in Italy, Dan joined RedHeads Wines in 2014 before leaving in 2017 to focus on Sigurd full time.

Picking fruit earlier to capture freshness, using a minimal intervention approach and no additions except some sulphur at bottling, Dan also uses fruit from the Riverland, Adelaide Hills and Clare Valley regions. Dan uses a judicious amount of whole bunch and skin contact to create complex, well-rounded wines that are elegant, textural and structured.
