Gut Oggau is the project of Eduard Tscheppe and Stephanie Tscheppe-Eselböck—a dynamic duo focussing on traditional Austrian grape varieties, taking a minimal intervention approach to winemaking and yielding wines of exceptional purity and complexity.
Theodora is a blend of Grüner Veltliner and Welschriesling, coming from 35-year-old vines. Hand-harvested, fully destemmed fruit was fermented in a mix of 500, 1000, and 1500-litre used barrels. Remaining in barrel for a further nine months, before blending and bottling unfined, unfiltered and without any sulphur additions.
