Jayden Ong – a siren that ushers flavour, dare and skill. 2022 in the Moonlit Forest is all about amaro edges, redcurrant and blood orange juiciness. There’s a good amount of bitter snap too – sounds like a little bit of the maker’s charm went into the wine.

Wild strawberries and raspberries that pour with some crisp, leafy tannins. There’s a little LoFi liberté here but it’s presented with that subtle Frenchness we love and comes wrapped in a firm tannin and bright acidity.

We sent some of our retail staff to Latta and they came back going on and on about this Grenache which was still in barrel at that point, but wow. It’s all grown up now, and into a thought-provoking, delicious wine that’s full of strawberries, sweet spice and candied fruit.

Ripe currants and earthy spices. Things feel ripe here, but never too dense, it’s easy-drinking French red. La Buvette has to go well with bavette (flank steak) right? Boil your spuds that night/morning before the meal for extra crunch and deliciousness, this is wine for tumblers, and not the goose neck kind. Plays well out of the fridge thanks to all the juicy notes.

Juicy like ribena but without all the sugar, and with a lot more going on, like a little oak derived tannin that adds some drive and means it can hang with a roast girello, or your daily slices of asiago cheese – yes, that reads daily. Maybe we'll call it the ribenix cube.

Allevare Sangiovese 2023

A delicious blend of Pinot Gris, Graciano and Sangiovese. Candy apple, red currant and raspberry come together with a lovely and leafy spiced edge and a smidge of tannin on the backend that can stand up to a meal.

Taschini Sunny Pinot Gris Sangiovese blend 2023

A dark-fruited beauty hailing from SA, with notes of black cherry, marzipan, tar and black pepper all at play on the soft, plush palate. An enviable lineup of Italian varieties, which have made themselves very at home in the Riverland, make up this yummy Rosso, with Nero d'Avola, and co-fermented Montepulciano and Aglianico, plus a lil Grenache for good measure. Bellissimo!

Cloud Cuckoo Land RED Nero d'Avola Montepulciano 2022

This carefully handcrafted wine boasts purity in spades and is overflowing with character and charm. Fruit for this wine came from a unique vineyard overlooking the Goulburn River, sitting on rich alluvial soils in an area that’s home to many retired volcanoes—Dane has told us more than once that the quality of fruit from this spot is incredible! The Syrah is a blend of two separate ferments, which both underwent semi-carbonic maceration with 10 days on skins. In the glass, expect bright and lifted fruit flavours, with intermingling notes of bramble berries, boysenberry, and raspberry coulis. There’s a fresh acidity and energy to the wine that make it perfect for summertime drinking. It’s fantastic as is, but if we were you, we’d chuck this one on ice before drinking.

Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvèdre along with a dollop of Moscato. Super aromatic with red liquorice, fairy floss and a medley of sweet red berries along with just the right amount of mouthwatering acidity. Perfect to drink cool from the esky on a stinkin’ hot day!
