This BdB was picked a little early to keep it clean and refreshing. This is full of fresh, zesty citrus and a little grapefruit pith all of which would make it perfect to pair with a couple of oysters or a little cheese board.

Yarran Cuvee Blanc NV

Predominately Pinot Noir, this year's iteration is richer and more opulent while retaining its balanced freshness. A little heathered honey, with layers of strawberry mousse, red apple skin and a nice jolt of citrus oil zing, with a low dosage at 3.5g. This release is based on the 2020 harvest, with 15% coming from the Lubiana reserve wine program.

That’s what happens when you bottle all that lemon sorbet, nashi and green apple. There’s some dosage, but it’s very well placed and adds a creamy fine bead. Another wine you can return to over and again.

The Lane Lois Sparkling Blanc de Blancs NV

Fantastic Blanc de Blancs, which spends 4 years on lees, out of the Piccadilly Valley with a savoury, mealy nose that pulls you right into the glass. Full-fruited with yellow peach and nectarine notes alongside lemon meringue and crystalline citrus, a lick of oak spice and some almond essence that adds to the creamy, textured palate. An impressive glass of wine to toast impressive achievements with.

DAOSA Blanc de Blancs 2018

Fruit for this wine comes from the cooler southern and coastal Karridale corner of Margaret River, where calcareous soils, persistent clouds and bitingly cold Southern Ocean winds result in a distinctly maritime feel. Brimming with lifted aromas of white flowers, citrus blossom and almond meal on the nose; this is pure class with citrus pith, lemon cream, and green apple, with a fennel-spiced edge & a refreshing line of acidity balanced beautifully by some quartz-like minerality. VERY good!
