Fresh and crisp with a dusting of blanched, almond richness to help fill out the story. Bring it to the park, or their house, with cheeses. The acidity will cut through everything nicely, even a delicious buerre blanc and scallops if you’re feeling fancy.

Pepper, spice and some smoky raspberry tea and good chew. If it were Shiraz we’d say it helped inspire Les Murray’s poetry, but it’s Syrah, so lets just hope it inspires you to a great dinner or late lunch. Ferment was all whole bunch so expect some lacey acidity and earthy drive.
