Burnley Brewing x Range Kristall Weizen

Schlenkerla is a traditional Bavarian brewer of rauchbier (literally translating to 'smokebeer'), a style of beer brewed with malted barley that has been dried over an open flame, imparting a smokiness not too dissimilar from Islay whisky. Schlenkerla's Weizen is made from a mix of smoked barley and unsmoked wheat, resulting in a beer with a more subtle smoke aroma and flavour. Pouring a hazy amber hue, it's a delicious example of wheat beer that's a little out of the box. (500ml) 5.2% ABV

Slow Lane's Dunkelweizen is incredibly true-to-style, showcasing deliciously toasty malts alongside banana and clove flavours. All this is wrapped up in a creamy mouthfeel and creamy carbonation, making for a very moreish beer. (375ml) 5.6% ABV

Slow Lane Brewing Classic Dark Haze Dunkelweizen

Odd One Out is a decoction weizenbock brewed with under-modified malt (where the grain has been less efficiently malted). It refers to a process called decoction mashing, which produces more complex malt profiles in beers where malt is the dominant flavour profile. Pouring a deep hazy orange, this bock was brewed with pilsner malt and wheat along with a traditional hefe yeast strain to produce classic flavours of chocolate, banana and dried fruits. (355ml) 6.8% ABV

Mountain Culture Odd One Out Decoction Weizenbock

A beautiful beer for a beautiful cause! Stomping Ground have created this crisp and fruity Wheat Ale in support of Midsumma Futures, a year-long development and mentoring program run by Midsumma Festival which supports early-career artists and culture-makers from the LGBTQIA+ community. Stomping Ground Pridelweiss

Textbook Bavarian-style wheat beer brewed with fresh lemons, dealing all those deliciously familiar clove and banana flavours alongside a refreshing zing of citrus. (440ml) 5% ABV

Garage Project Zitrone Weiss

Palate is light and refreshing but full of bitter citrus and some clean herbs. This one’s smooth from the first sip and drinks serenely while you’re on the couch, walking the dog, mowing the lawn, or just enjoying a beer for the sake of enjoying a beer.

Blanche De Namur 500ml

Tokyo Wit is full of spicy aromas and comes with a good hit of bitterness before just a splash of sourness. Expect a little almond meal and some trademark ester.

At the end of a long day, there’s nothing quite like a good beer. Since the recent explosion of the craft beer scene, we’ve had our eyes opened to the extensive reach of the amber brew—hell, sometimes it’s a different colour completely!
