If you weren't already pepped for summer, a glass of this will get ya right there! Made with a fruit salad of Italian varieties grown by the good folk at Chalmers, there's lots of moreish watermelon rind in the glass—we're talking the whole pink-to-white to-green spectrum—with pink grapefruit and plenty of fizz. If you need us, we'll be at the park with plenty of Positive Energy.

Positive Energy Pet Nat Rose Blackhearts x Chalmers 2023

This sits comfortably on the richer side of the sparkling spectrum within the context of Australian sparkling wine, with a lovely savoury influence of the Pinot Noir component anchoring and bringing depth to the wine. Ripe pear and yellow nectarine set the scene for this delicious drop while a moreish texture builds into rich fruits with ice cream wafer and biscuity autolytic character.

Macedon Ridge Brut Sparkling NV

A little more grown up and serious in feel, with more oxidative and autolytic characters on show. On the nose, it's fresh and clean with some varietal Sauv Blanc aromas, before its layers of citrus zest and leaf, with mealy savoury notes wash over the palate.

Latta Essential Crisis Pet Nat 2022

Based on the 2019 Shiraz, which was barrel aged before undergoing the Traditional Method. Only a tiny amount of liqueur was added for a lighter, drier style, that'll go particularly well with mum's roast pork.

Craiglee Sparkling Shiraz No. 8 NV

A fun-loving blend of Glera and Zinfandel! It's light yet awash with cranberry, raspberry and crunchy red apple notes, as well as some zippy acidity for ultimate refreshment.

Fin Wines Electro Nonsense Pét-Nat 2022

There are some delicate aromatics at play here, with pure lemon and lime citrus notes carrying through to the dry palate, with a creamy bead and some tonic-like quinine notes. Sensational on its own and great in a spritz—make sure to garnish with olives for a real Venetian feel!

Box Grove Prosecco 2021

Bursting with youthful and vibrant berries, with a pinch of savoury five spice this dry with a lovely elegance to it. Drink this with your fancy friends on a crisp Sunday afternoon, ideally at their country house, but the park will do just fine too.

Hennings Sparkling Shiraz 2020

Made by our very good friends at Punt Rd, this fresh, vibrant and complex sparkling has notes of apple blossom, citrus and brioche. A balanced blend of 85% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Noir sourced from within the Yarra Valley.

Airlie Bank Sparkling NV

Made using the traditional method, this Yarra Valley cuvée uses a combination of 50% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay, and 20% Pinot Meunier. It then sees two years on lees prior to disgorging and a light dosage.

Fruit sourced from the Moon Vineyard in Nagambie is gently basket pressed before wild fermentation and aging on lees for seven months. The result is citrus-laden upon opening before some oxidative richness creeps in and sits comfortably alongside the slight autolytic bready character.

The palate is textural and refreshing thanks to subtle flavours of strawberry tops, almond meal, creamy dough and a citrusy acidity. YUM!

Mitchell Harris Sabre Rose Sparkling Rose Pinot

This begs to be poured on any occasion and is a real treat to drink thanks to some honey blossom and a snap of biscuit that comes with just a lick of refreshing lemon and tart grapefruit. The wine develops just a little in the glass, but it’s you that’s changing, falling deeper and deeper for its tasty charm.
