Michael Hall Sang de Pigeon Chardonnay 2022

Sourced from Gully Road and the lilliputian Aesctun vineyards that sit above 500m. This is a wonderfully pure expression of Pinot Noir from the Adelaide Hills, with a perfect 38% portion of whole bunch fruit used. So red fruited in the glass, with strawberry and raspberry notes meeting with fresh herbs, subtle earth tones, all supported by some deftly placed oak.

Fresh apples and pears greet you on the nose of this glorious Gris, with hints of apple blossom floating through. In the glass, it's clean and pure with lots of nashi pear character, with some added complexity from its time fermenting in barrel. A very good glass of wine!

If the words "easy-drinking BBQ wine" pique your interest, you're going to want to pay close attention to this! A Tempranillo with a splash of Graciano that's all cherries. Super bright red cherries and spice on the nose lead to cherry ripe characters on the palate, with a crack of black pepper and a nice smidge of tannin. Delicious.

Excellent Pinot Blanc from the Adelaide Hills, with an almost Riesling-like character to it. Crisp and fresh, and delightfully dry. So, so good.
