This Riesling is almost Gewürtz-ish with its oh so tasty pink lady apples, mandarins and floral notes. Of course, there’s still some lemongrass and talc that comes through so it’s perfect at your favourite dumplings spot and those flavours are just going to make for some mouth-watering sweet n’ sour. Yum!

Chaffey Bros Tripel Punkt Riesling 2023

No added So2, but heaps of bright energy and light black currant notes. There’s just a dusting of herbs to give some intrigue to the red cherry and plum. With very little tannin you can even tell ya Dad to give it a chill!

In the glass, it's nice and dry with citrus blossom, cut lemon, a tickle of chalky pith and some soft acidity. Just delicious.

Xavier Vineyards Riesling 2023

Aromatically charged with lemon drop, lemon barely, crunchy granny smith apple and a whiff of struck match. A perfect seafood vino with a palate that is crisp, with finger lime, lemon citrus, a little herbaceous note, some pithy chalk and stony mineral feel all drawn together by a lovely long line of fresh acidity.

An elegant Syrah from the Eden Valley showing off more of a cool-climate feel this year—think aromatic, spicy, and crunchy. Blackberry, plum, and baking spice are braced by firm tannin and lots of tension in the acidity.

Classic as can be and an absolute treat! Made with a blend of Shiraz and Cab Sauv that was picked a little later, this shows plenty of character from both varieties. Cassis and green herbs meet jubey fruits, plush, small berries and hints of mocha chocolate in the glass. If you can bear to wait, this is a great bottle to pull out at the holidays!

Max & Me The House Blend Shiraz Cabernet 2021

A nearly typical Eden Riesling that has all the lime leaf and lime, and bitter lemon we love and expect. But there are more textural qualities here thanks to the pithy citrus and smidge of sherbet, that are both subtle, but feel almost tangible. Perfect with some pulled noodles, or any other Sichuan delight.

Bright acidity and lemon/lime blossoms. There's also a little talcum powder too, which gives this rizz a little more texture, and then you get a little red and green apple. Zippy, beautiful and goes well with Szechuan, how can we not love it?

Luxurious blackberry and a little new oak, plus ripe plum and olive tapenade with just a hint of saline. Of course, there’s sweet tobacco and it’s all reinforced with some trademark SA tannin. Delicious.

Izway Harold Shiraz 2021

Back in the 80s, the site where Rileys now sits was a sheep station, but the family saw a big future for the site and quickly got to work. Thanks to their foresight, the winery remains family-owned and operated to this day, and we get to enjoy the fruits of their labour in this Riesling! Softer in style, with red and green apple, talc-lined acidity, and moreish lime on the dry palate.

Beautiful old-vine Shiraz from the central Eden Valley and Moculta subregions. It shows an effortless balance between moreish fruit and savoury structure. Dense, dark and beautifully plush.

Sons of Eden Remus Shiraz 2019

A moreish core of red forest fruits, grenadine, and cooling herbs with a good wash of tight-grained tannins for balance.

Max & Me High Eden Pinot Noir 2021

Off-dry, damn delicious and packed with apple, rich lime and some cooked apple layered with honey blossom, a little bit of lees texture, and 11g of residual sugar balanced by some high acidity. Fruit for this cuvée—grown by Chris Overton (same as the Springton Shiraz) in his heavily shaded vineyards—was fermented in seasoned oak, halted at just the right level of sweetness, and lees stirred. Grab this bottle on the way to your favourite Thai restaurant and order something spicy because this can handle the heat!
